Project Overview
Scope: Targeted AVL renovation of existing Worship Center
Venue Capacity: 600-seat main auditorium
Primary Goals:
- Improve on-camera lighting and streaming consistency
- Empower volunteers through training and simplified control
- Refresh key AVL systems for increased usability and quality
- Prepare infrastructure for future improvements

Canyon Del Oro Bible Church has long been committed to its mission: “Reaching people for Christ and helping them grow in their faith.” But as their tech systems aged and expectations for video streaming increased, their volunteer-led production team began to feel the strain.
Lighting inconsistencies created visual gaps on camera, and the volunteer operators—despite doing an admirable job—wanted to grow in their effectiveness. Rather than just replace equipment, the church wanted a partner to walk with them, train their team, and help them take their next step forward.

Challenges & Vision
Camera Compatibility: Stage lighting lacked consistency, leaving some participants in the dark—literally.
Volunteer Capacity: With no technical staff, systems had to be as intuitive and stable as they were powerful.
Legacy Systems: Some components were still working—but falling short of today’s expectations.
Future Planning: The church didn’t just want new tech—they wanted a foundation to keep improving.

The Approach
Canyon Del Oro’s leadership understood the need to improve their streaming quality, but also knew that technology alone wouldn’t fix everything. With no staff tech directors on site, volunteer empowerment was as essential as any equipment upgrade.
Vantage Pro began the project with their Foresight Design Process, aligning vision and priorities for the space. The process led to a clear plan: enhance lighting to match the camera’s needs, re-assign and supplement video hardware to better capture worship and teaching moments, and most importantly—ensure the systems would be simple enough for their existing team to succeed with confidence.
Stage lighting was rebalanced with new Chauvet Ovation fixtures for front and key light coverage, while ChromaQ Inspire house lighting added consistency and color for both in-person and streamed services. The original PTZ cameras were re-deployed for tighter stage angles, while a new Panasonic AG-CX350 was added as the upgraded main camera for clarity and control.
Alongside the lighting and video improvements, the audio system’s processor was due for replacement, and the speaker system was re-optimized to improve clarity and frequency balance throughout the room. This helped ensure that spoken word and music would be delivered consistently to every seat, and streaming audio would match the improved video quality.
Throughout the project, training and ease-of-use remained central. Systems were selected for their flexibility, but also programmed for “easy mode” operation to ensure long-term success with minimal stress.

“From start to finish, it’s been a really good experience working with Vantage Pro. We feel like the new systems that are in place have delivered on the goals and vision discussed back in our Foresight Kickoff.”
